Midlands 1 East is an English Rugby Union League made up of clubs from the East Midlands of England, with promoted sides usually entering National Division 3 - Midlands (formerly Midlands 1). Relegated teams drop down to either Midlands 2 East (North) or Midlands 2 East (South), depending on location and other factors.

On the league hierarchy it is level 6.[1]
