Excerpt: Free Agency is a peculiar doctrine of the LDS theological system of belief. This is a teaching concerning the moral ability of man to choose the good even in his fallen and sinful state. The Prophets of the LDS Church, in keeping with their mancentered doctrine, have spoken out against their critiques who claim that man has fallen and that the moral will of man is corrupt and in need of the regenerating power of the Spirit to overcome that sinful nature. God has told us through his prophets that we are free to choose between good and evil ... the right to choose between good and evil is called agency.
